How porting works
Everything you need to move your number to RichVoIP — at no cost.

Porting is how your existing phone number moves from your current provider to RichVoIP. Customers keep dialing the number they know, and nothing on your signs, menus or business cards has to change.
What it costs
Nothing. RichVoIP doesn't charge porting fees, on either package.
How long it takes
A port usually takes 10 to 14 days, because your current provider has to release the number. You don't have to wait to get started: a temporary number or call forwarding can be live in about 15 minutes while the move happens.
What we'll ask you for
Your current provider needs to confirm the request really comes from you, so we'll ask for some details from that account. Our team will tell you exactly what's needed and fill in the paperwork with you.
Tips for a smooth move
- Keep your current service active until we confirm the port is complete. Cancelling early can put the number at risk.
- Tell us about every number you want to keep, including fax lines.
- Ask us anything along the way — in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
