Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated October 31, 2026

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy explains what you may not do with RichVoIP services. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to everyone who uses your account, phones or numbers.

2. Prohibited uses

You may not use RichVoIP to:

  • Break the law or help anyone else break it, including fraud and scams.
  • Harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
  • Send spam or make unwanted bulk calls or messages.
  • Fake or hide your caller ID to mislead, cause harm or obtain anything of value.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights.
  • Spread malware, attempt unauthorized access, or interfere with our network or other customers.
  • Artificially generate call traffic (traffic pumping) or resell the service without our written permission.

3. Calling and texting rules

Follow every law that applies to calls and messages, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), FCC rules, the Telemarketing Sales Rule and state laws. In particular:

  • Get the consent the law requires before making autodialed or prerecorded calls, or sending marketing texts.
  • Honor opt-out requests (such as replies of STOP) and Do Not Call requests promptly.
  • Show accurate caller ID and call only at permitted times.
  • Business texting may need to be registered with mobile carriers (for example, 10DLC registration); messages may be blocked until registration is complete.
  • Follow call-recording consent laws. Some states, including Florida, require everyone on the call to agree.

4. Enforcement

If we believe this policy has been broken, we may warn you, block specific calls or messages, limit features, or suspend or end the service, and we may cooperate with law enforcement. Where possible we'll contact you first, unless we need to act right away to protect our network, other customers or the public.

5. Reporting abuse

To report unwanted calls or messages from a RichVoIP number, or any other abuse, email support@richvoip.com with the number, the date and time, and what happened.
